This workshop is FULL! Please contact us if you'd like to be put on the waiting list. We hope to do another similar workshop before too long, so make sure you join our mailing list to be notified as soon as new workshops are scheduled.

Let's get tiny! Painting small is a wonderful way to produce a small body of work all in one sitting. The point is to stay loose, get experimental, and have fun! This class is open to all levels of painters and no experience is necessary. You'll see demonstrations that will explain how to approach different subject matter (representational and abstract) before being set out on your own. Guidance will be offered throughout the afternoon to those who want it, and others may choose to work independently.

  • Experiment with paint application, color palettes, and subject matter
  • Keep it loose and don't get too attached (you can always do another one!)
  • Leave with several completed paintings

All supplies are included in the cost of this class! Each student will be provided with acrylic paint, brushes, palettes, and 5 small panels (approx 4x4") to paint on. Additional panels will be available for purchase as well as creative framing options.

This workshop will be held in the classroom space at Running With Scissors Artist Studios (250 Anderson St. Portland).
