Saturday May 21st. 10:00am to 3:00pm.
This workshop will be held at Continuum for Creativity at 863 Main Street in Westbrook, ME.
Learn to give everyday objects new life by painting the still life in expressive, vibrant ways. If you tend to get stuck on the minor details or you would love to learn how to paint more freely this workshop is for you.
Through demos, brief exercises and one longer sustained painting you'll learn how to...
- create dynamic compositions
- simplify the subject to the most important details
- use bold paint application
- relax and enjoy the process of painting expressively!
This workshop is appropriate for all levels of experience, ages 15 and over. All painting supplies will be provided for this class, but you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own brushes and/or acrylic paints if you have them (no oils please), and a tabletop or field easel if you have one. Tables and chairs will be provided.
We'll break at 12pm for lunch. Plan to bring a lunch or visit one of the nearby restaurants. Coffee and tea will be provided.
