This is an all levels class that will be accessible to beginners and helpful to those returning to drawing after time away. Adults/teens age 15 and up.
Learn key techniques such as contour, gesture, shading, and composition as well as best practices and helpful drawing tips.
Class sizes are small to allow for lots of personal instruction. A minimum of 5 students is needed to run this class, please sign up in advance to save your spot and to help ensure that the class will run.
Pencils: 4b, 2b, HB, 2H
Kneaded Eraser, white Staedler eraser
Eraser pen (optional)
Drawing pen (dip pen) and a skinny nib
Small Chinese ink brush (Yasutomo CC1 or CC2)
Sketchbook , 8x10 or larger (bigger is better)
23"x26" drawing board
*Paper, ink, and other materials will be provided.
**Students opting to borrow all supplies from the studio will be able to keep their sketchbook, pencils, and erasers.
Reesa Wood is a Portland artist, musician, and teacher. She received her MFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2014.
