Explore the playful side of watercolor and the simplicity of observational drawing in this introductory workshop. Participants will draw beautiful blooms of real blossoms in the studio with guided techniques that capture the essence of the flower. Drawing experience is not necessary. A variety of watercolor techniques will be introduced to explore a loose and free practice to combine with drawings of blooms.
All painting/drawing supplies are included, however those who have their own watercolors and brushes are encouraged to bring them.
-Watercolor paints and brushes of choice
-Blooms from your garden
-Black & white print of a favorite bloom
Bring a bag lunch to eat at the studio or step out to a local cafe during our lunch break.
Instructor: Justine Lasdin
About Justine: "I have a deep passion for the creative process and want to teach others how to find your own passion. I am not looking to turn everyone into a professional artist, but create a space to play. My background is teaching kids and my new found passion is teaching adults. I will encourage you to find your own unique creativity by getting into the process and not the end result."
