Take home a gorgeous, handmade still life!

Course: Join Dixfield paper artist Amity Beane as she introduces you to the magic of paper flowers. This three-hour course will teach you how to cut, color, glue, and shape eight paper fiddlehead ferns and three paper daffodils, as well as style them using a steel pin frog. All materials except sharp scissors are provided.  You will leave with a new love of creating botanical sculpture from paper.

A minimum of 5 students is needed to run this class, with a maximum of 10. Please sign up early to help ensure we can run the class and to save your spot. Ages 14 and up.

Bio: Amity Beane creates paper sculptures at her home studio in the winter and in a church studio on the banks of the Androscoggin river in summer. She has an MS in education and a BA in fine art from Maine public universities. Amity and her partner Owen live on a 50-acre forest farm in western Maine with their daughter Zoe. She is represented by The Good Supply in Bristol, Maine and has an online school for making paper flowers found at florabeane.com.
