Workshop/Class policies and info
For specific details about your class or workshop (such as materials lists and meeting times) please refer to the workshop description.
Registration and Payments
To reserve your spot in a class please sign up in advance. Full payment must be received to reserve your spot. Payments can be made through the workshop registration page, or by check (contact for mailing address). Registration can be made until the class is full anytime prior to the first session. Once a class is full you'll be invited to join a wait list in case another student withdraws.
Cancellations and Refunds
Since class sizes are small we rely on your commitment to run the class. If you need to withdraw from a class please give as much notice as possible so there is ample opportunity to fill your spot. If a class does not meet the minimum enrollment to run you will be notified as soon as possible and will be refunded.
Refund schedule (unless otherwise specified in class description):
- Cancellations 14 days or more prior to the first session: a full refund will be issued.
- Cancellations without 14 days notice: a 50% refund will be issued.
- Same day cancellations or no-shows: no refunds can be given.
If you cannot attend you may gift your spot to a friend. Please contact us prior to the first class to inform us of the transfer.
Please plan to attend all sessions of a workshop or class. Partial refunds for missed class time cannot be made.
In cases of severe inclement weather class will be cancelled and a make-up date will be scheduled. Winter classes will typically go on as scheduled despite the presence of snow. Anyone registered for a cancelled workshop may choose between the make-up date or a refund. If we need to cancel a class for any reason a full refund will be given.
Weekday evenings after 5pm and all weekend there is free parking available for our guests in the lot next to the studio (ignore signs that say permit required). At other times parking is available on the street and in garages located on Elm St. near Cumberland and Congress Streets.
Demonstrations are usually first on the agenda, so late arrivals may mean missing important material. Please plan to show up a few minutes early to set up and get comfortable before we start class. After class begins the door will be locked to prevent disruptions from unscheduled visitors. If you arrive late and the door is locked please knock and we'll come let you in.
Depending on the class, we use chairs and upright easels or tables. Students are welcome to sit or stand as they prefer, or to bring their favorite chair/stool. If you require any specific accommodations please let us know in advance so we can set up the studio for your best comfort.
